There is another new addition to the Invicta Fighting Championships roster according to MMA Fighting as undefeated strawweight Jessica Delboni has signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion.
Delboni (6-0-0) made her professional MMA debut in May of 2013, but took a break from competition before rattling off four straight wins last year. Delboni has earned the majority of her professional MMA victories by way of decision, with the other two wins coming by KO/TKO. Delboni last competed at MMA Maringa Combat 5 in November of 2017, defeating Bruna Emanuele Brasil by second round TKO.
The newly signed fighter trains alongside UFC veteran Jessica Andrade at Parana Vale Tudo out of Brazil, where team leader Gilliard Parana says this signing proves that the best female competitors come from PVT.
“Once again we’re proving that our women’s team is the best women’s team in the world,” Parana told MMA Fighting. “If she has built a great history as a strawweight, she will dominate the atomweight division and win this belt.”
MMA Fighting did not reveal when Delboni is expected to make her Invicta FC debut or whom that opponent could be when the Brazilian does compete in the promotion for the first time.
