Report: Ji Yeon Kim Replacing Ashlee Evans-Smith At The TUF 28 Finale

Ashlee Evans-Smith has suffered an injury and has been pulled from the UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN, replacing her against Antonina Shevchenko is Ji Yeon Kim.

Shevchenko (6-0-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over sixteen years. Shevchenko competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 11, defeating Jaimelene Nievera by second round TKO. Shevchenko has competed a total of six times as a professional MMA fighter and four of those bouts went the distance.

Kim (8-1-2) has won two of three fights under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Melinda Fabian and Justine Kish. Kim has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Lucie Pudilova at UFC Fight Night Singapore. Kim has competed nine times as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of those bouts went the distance.

UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale takes place on Friday, November 30 from the Pearl Theatre At The Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada with Kamaru Usman and Rafael Dos Anjos headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
