The upcoming UFC Fight Night Busan card has taken a hit because Ji Yeon Kim has suffered an injury and has been pulled from a bout against Sabina Mazo

SportsW out of South Korea first reported the news, stating that Kim has suffered an elbow injury that has required surgery. Mazo is expected to remain on the card at this time, as UFC officials are seeking a replacement opponent for her to fight.

Mazo (7-1-0) has won just one of two in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Shana Dobson at UFC 241. Mazo has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Maryna Moroz at UFC Fight Night Philadelphia. Mazo is a former LFA Women’s Flyweight Champion, defeating Shannon Sinn at LFA 37 to win the gold.

UFC Fight Night Busan takes place on Saturday, December 21 from the Sakij Arena in Busan, South Korea with Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
