A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC On Fox 31 according to Raphael Marinho of Combate as Joaquim Silva is in action against Jared Gordon.
Silva (10-1-0) is looking to rebound from his first loss as a professional MMA fighter, which came to Vinc Pichel at UFC On Fox 27. Silva has also picked up three victories in UFC competition, with those wins coming over the trio of Nazareno Malegarie, Andrew Holbrook and Reza Madadi. Silva has seen three of his four bouts in the UFC go the distance and the fighter has a 2-1-0 record in those encounters.
Gordon (14-2-0) has won two of three under the UFC banner, with those two wins coming over the duo of Michel Quinones and Hacran Dias. Gordon is also a former Cage Fury Fighting Championships Lightweight Champion defeating Bill Algeo to win the gold in February of 2017. Gordon hasn’t picked up a win in almost a year, as his last victory came at UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo (2017) in October of 2017.
UFC On Fox 31 takes place on Saturday, December 15 from the Sports Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
