Report: John Lineker Out Of UFC Greenville Bout With Rob Font

MMA

If you wanted to see John Lineker throw down in Greenville Saturday night, you're out of luck.

While the UFC hasn't made an official announcement, MMA Junkie reports that the top-15 Bantamweight fight is off of Saturday's show in North Carolina after Lineker withdrew from the fight. The reason hasn't been disclosed by Lineker, his camp, the UFC, or the report listed.

The status of Rob Font, who loses his second opponent, is not yet known. UFC's weigh ins are only hours away, so the options on UFC's side don't appear to be abundant. Cody Stamann was originally set for the card, but was replaced by Lineker.

Lineker and Font originally clashed at UFC 198 three years ago, where Lineker would walk away with a unanimous decision victory on the show.

Fightful has reached out to Lineker's management, but have yet to hear back. We'll have full, live coverage of this Saturday's UFC Greenville show, headlined by Chan Sung Jung taking on Renato Moicano.
