The PFL Lightweight Division has its newest threat as UFC veteran Johnny Case has signed with the promotion to compete in season three.
Ariel Helwani of ESPN revealed the news via Twitter:
Former UFC fighter Johnny Case, who lost in the RIZIN lightweight grand-prix semis earlier today, has agreed to be a part of the PFL 155 season next year, per his manager @dannyrube. Today’s loss snapped a six-fight unbeaten streak for Case.

Case (27-7-1) is coming off a run in the Rizin Lightweight World Grand Prix, where he made it to the semi-finals before losing to Tofiq Musaev at Rizin 20. Case also won four of six during his time in the UFC, with those victories coming over Kazuki Tokudome, Frankie Perez, Francisco Trevino and Yan Cabral. Case also fought once in the first PFL season, fighting Natan Schulte to a majority draw at PFL 9.
There is no word at this time as to when Case will compete, as the PFL has yet to announce any dates for the third season.
