“It certainly changed for the better,” Schulte told MMA Junkie. “I no longer have to worry about other things, having to work or having money to pay the bills. Now I can relax and do only what I need to do, which is train.”

Schulte will have a lot of competition to overcome to win another $1 million, as top fighters like Rashid Magomedov, Islam Mamedov, Ramsey Nijem and Ronys Torres will also be going to the cash prize.

One thing Schulte is looking forward to in season two is facing some new competition he didn’t face in season one.

“I want to fight new guys,” Schulte said. “The five guys I fought before were former UFC fighters, very tough guys, but I want to fight the new signees.”

PFL season two kicks off this may, with the events being broadcasted live on both ESPN 2 and ESPN+.
