Report: Jorge Gonzalez Faces Kenneth Bergh At UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige

A light heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige as Jorge Gonzalez faces Kenneth Bergh.

MMA Fighting first reported the bout, which is expected to be a part of the preliminary card.

Gonzalez (16-5-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so having won seven of his last eight bouts. Gonzalez competed just over a week ago at the UWC Mexico 22 event, defeating Marcos Rodriguez by first round submission. Gonzalez has competed a total of twenty one times as a professional MMA fighter and none of his bouts went the distance.

Bergh (7-0-0-1NC) is also making his UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over seven years. Bergh competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 3, fighting Antonio Trocoli to a no contest due to a failed drug test on Trocoli’s part. Bergh has picked up seven wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of submission.

UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige takes place on Wednesday, July 15 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Calvin Kattar and Dan Ige headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
