A heavyweight division attraction has been added to Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 29 as Josh Parisian faces Chad Johnson.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Parisian (12-3-0) had previously competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 11, defeating Greg Rebello by first round knockout. Parisian will come into this bout riding a five fight winning streak and all of those wins came by way of KO/TKO. Parisian has competed fifteen times as a professional MMA fighter and two of those bouts went to the judges scorecards.
Johnson (6-1-0) is going to be competing for the first time in almost a year, as his last bout came at LFA 77 in September of 2019. Johnson has picked up six wins as a professional MMA fighter and all of them have come by way of KO/TKO. Johnson has competed a total of thirteen times as a professional and amateur MMA fighter, with twelve of those bouts happening in the King Of The Cage promotion.
Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 29 takes place on Tuesday, August 18 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
