Former Invicta Fighting Championship Strawweight Champion Livia Renata Souza’s UFC debut is apparently off according to MMA Brasil because she has suffered a hand injury, which has bounced the fighter from the UFC Fight Night Austin card.

MMA Fighting is reporting that Souza’s injured hand will be checked by doctors this coming week and more should be known about the extent of the injury.

Souza was set to fight former WSOF Strawweight Champion Jessica Aguilar at the event, it is unknown at this time if Aguilar will remain on the card.

Aguilar (19-6-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, dropping fights to both Claudia Gadelha and Cortney Casey. Aguilar was the first and only WSOF Women’s Strawweight Champion, defeating Alida Gray to win the belt in 2014. Aguilar defeated a plethora of UFC veterans before signing with the promotion a few years back, including Angela Magana, Carla Esparza, Lisa Ellis and Kalindra Faria.

Neither the UFC or Aguilar have yet to comment on the allegedly canceled fight.

UFC Fight Night Austin takes place on Sunday, February 18 from the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas with Donald Cerrone and Yancy Medeiros headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
