A lightweight division attraction has been added to the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale according to Farah Hannoun as Luis Pena faces Richie Smullen.
Pena (2-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted almost two years. Pena also made it to the quarterfinals of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27, but a foot injury caused the competitor to be pulled from the reality show. Pena also went undefeated as an amateur MMA fighter, with two wins coming under the V3 Fights banner.
Smullen (3-0-1) is also going to be making his UFC debut in this fight, but is coming off of a majority draw against Rhys McKee at BAMMA 30 in July of 2017. Smullen also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27, but never stepped foot in the Octagon as leg cramps caused him to be pulled from a first round bout. Smullen has picked up a total of three wins as a professional MMA fighter and all three of those victories came by a form of stoppage.
UFC Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale takes place on Friday, July 6 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Brad Tavares and Israel Adesanya headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
