Report: Luke Rockhold vs. Chris Weidman II Added To UFC 230

A rematch may be added to the upcoming UFC 230 card according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN as former UFC Middleweight Champion #2 Luke Rockhold faces former UFC Middleweight Champion #3 Chris Weidman.

Rockhold (16-4-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last four UFC bouts, with his latest fight being a third round knockout loss to Yoel Romero at UFC 221. Rockhold won the first meeting between himself and Weidman at UFC 194, capturing the UFC Middleweight Title in the process. Rockhold is also competing in a non-five round fight for the first time in over four years, with his last such bout coming at UFC 172 in April of 2014.

Weidman (14-3-0) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Kelvin Gastelum at UFC On Fox 25. Weidman is a former UFC Middleweight Champion as well, defeating Anderson Silva by second round knockout at UFC 162. Weidman also returns to action for the first time in over a year, as his last bout came in July of 2017.

UFC 230 takes place on Saturday, November 3 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
