A women’s strawweight division fight could be coming to the UFC 222 card as Mackenzie Dern may be in action against Ashley Yoder.

Dern (5-0-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this fight and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted well over a year, as she just made her professional MMA debut in July of 2016. Dern competed in the Legacy Fighting Championships, defeating UFC veteran Montana De La Rosa by first round submission. Dern just competed at Invicta Fighting Championships 26, defeating Kaline Medeiros by third round submission.
Yoder (5-3-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, dropping bouts to the duo of Justine Kish and Angela Hill. Yoder also competed once in the Invicta Fighting Championships, defeating Amber Brown by submission at Invicta FC 20 in 2016. Yoder was a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 23, losing to Kate Jackson in the quarterfinals of the reality show.
UFC 222 takes place on Saturday, March 3 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
