A bantamweight division attraction has been added to the UFC Fight Night Boise card according to MMA Fighting as Mark De La Rosa is in action against Elias Garcia.
De La Rosa (9-1-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped a fight to Tim Elliott via second round submission at UFC 219. De La Ros also competed twice in the Combate Americas promotion, defeating the duo of Ivan Hernandez Flores and Mahatma Chit-Bala Garcia Avalos. De La Rosa is also a former Superior Combative Championships Bantamweight Champion, defeating Arthur Oliveira to win the gold in April of 2016.
Garcia (5-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so on an undefeated streak that has lasted almost five years. Garcia has seen just one of his five professional MMA fights go the distance and that came against Alex Figueroa at Chosen Few Fighting Championships 3. Garcia also held two championships as an amateur fighter, with those titles coming from the WFC MMA Cage Fighting and Warriors Cage Fighting promotions.
UFC Fight Night Boise takes place on Saturday, July 14 from the Century Link Arena in Boise, Idaho with Junior Dos Santos and Blagoy Ivanov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
