A flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho as Mark De La Rosa is in action against Raulian Paiva.
ESPN first reported the bout, but its placement on the card isn’t known at this time.
De La Rosa (11-3-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Alex Perez and Kai Kara France. De La Rosa hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, with that last win coming over Joby Sanchez at UFC Fight Night Denver. De La Rosa has picked up eleven wins as a professional MMA fighter and six of them came by way of submission.
Paiva (18-3-0) will also come into the bout while riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of the aforementioned France and Rogerio Bontorin. Paive competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil Episode 2, defeating Allan Nascimento by split decision. Paiva has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter, with one coming by KO/TKO, one by submission and one by decision.
UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho takes place on Saturday, February 15 from the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico with Corey Anderson and Jan Blachowicz headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
