A middleweight division attraction has been added to a yet to be announced UFC card on August 1 as Markus Perez faces Eric Spicely.
MMA Fighting first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Perez (12-3-0) has rotated wins and losses throughout his UFC run, with the latest bout being a unanimous decision loss to Wellington Turman at UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo. Perez has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came in UFC competition. Perez has picked up twelve wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them have come by way of submission.
Spicely (12-5-0) is winless in his second run with the UFC, having dropped a bout to Deron Winn at UFC Fight Night Greenville. Spicely hasn’t picked up a win in the UFC for over three years, with that last win coming over Alessio Di Chirico at UFC On Fox 23. Spicely has competed six times under the UFC banner and has only picked up two victories.
The yet to be announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, August 1 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
