A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Vancouver according to MMA DNA as Michel Pereira is in action against Sergey Khandozhko.
Pereira (22-9-0-2NC) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated Danny Roberts by first round knockout at UFC Fight Night Rochester. Pereira did defeat Heat MMA Middleweight Champion Burenzorig Batmunkh at Heat 43, but couldn’t win the actual title due to missing weight for the bout. Pereira has suffered nine losses as a professional MMA fighter and seven of those defeats came by way of decision.
Khandozhko (26-5-1) is also undefeated during his UFC tenure, having defeated Rostem Akman by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Stockholm. Khandozhko will enter the contest while riding a three fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost two years. Khandozhko has seen ten of his professional MMA bouts go the distance, with the fighter picking up wins in eight of those encounters.
UFC Fight Night Vancouver takes place on Saturday, September 14 from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada with Donald Cerrone and Justin Gaethje headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
