Report: Misha Cirkunov Faces Ryan Spann At UFC Vegas 17

A light heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Vegas 17 as #10 Misha Cirkunov faces #12 Ryan Spann.

Cirkunov (15-5-0) has won two of his last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Patrick Cummins and Jimmy Crute. Cirkunov is competing for the first time in over a year, with his last fight happening at UFC Fight Night Vancouver in September of 2019. Cirkunov has competed 20 times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.

Spann (18-6-0) has won four of five in the UFC, with those wins coming over Luis Henrique, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Devin Clark and Sam Alvey. Spann competed twice on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Emiliano Sordi and suffering a defeat to Karl Roberson. Spann has picked up 11 of 18 wins by way of submission, with another four coming by KO/TKO.

UFC Vegas 17 takes place on Saturday, December 19 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Leon Edwards and Khamzat Chimaev headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
