A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Rochester according to Farah Hannoun as #13 Neil Magny is in action against #15 Vicente Luque.
There was a report a short time back that Magny would fight Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos at the event, no word has been given yet as to why the change happened.
Magny (21-7-0) has won two of his last three under the UFC banner, with those victories coming over the duo of Craig White and Carlos Condit. Magny has picked up twenty one wins as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of those victories came by way of decision. Magny has suffered six losses during his UFC tenure and five of them came via a combination of submission or KO/TKO.
Luque (15-6-1) enters the contest while in the midst of a four fight winning streak, defeating the four pack of Niko Price, Chad Laprise, Jalin Turner and Bryan Barberena. Luque hasn’t suffered a defeat in over two years, with that last loss coming to Leon Edwards at UFC Fight Night 107. Luque has suffered six losses as a professional MMA fighter, but none of those defeats came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night Rochester takes place on Saturday, May 18 from the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York with Rafael Dos Anjos and Kevin Lee headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
