A heavyweight division fight scheduled for Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 11 is in jeopardy according to MMA Junkie because visa issues have forced Oscar Ivan Cota off of a bout against Greg Rebello.
UFC officials are seeking a replacement for Cota, as Rebello is expected to remain on the card at this time. This is the second fight from DWTNCS Episode 11 to be altered due to either injury or visa issues, as Silvana Juarez was pulled from the headlining bout against Antonina Shevchenko due to injury.
Rebello (24-8-0) is currently winless on DWTNCS, having suffered a knockout loss to Azunna Anyanwu on DWTNCS Episode 1. Rebello does return to the Contender Series riding a two fight winning streak, which includes a win over UFC veteran Travis Wiuff. Rebello also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 11, losing in the opening round of the reality show to Josh Bryant.
Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 11 takes place on Tuesday, June 26 from the UFC Gym in Las Vegas, Nevada with Antonina Shevchenko and Jamielene Nievera headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
