Report: Ovince St. Preux Faces Ryan Spann On February UFC Card

A light heavyweight division attraction has been added to a yet to be announced UFC card this February as Ovince St. Preux faces Ryan Spann.

MMA Junkie first reported the bout, but its placement on the card isn’t known at this time.

St. Preux (24-13-0) has won two of his last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Tyson Pedro and Michal Oleksiejczuk. St. Preux has previously fought for the UFC Interim Light Heavyweight Title, losing to Jon Jones by unanimous decision at UFC 197. St. Preux has suffered thirteen losses as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them came by way of submission.

Spann (17-5-0) is undefeated thus far in the UFC, having defeated the trio of Luis Henrique, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Devin Clark. Spann also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 10, defeating Emiliano Sordi by first round submission. Spann has picked up seventeen wins as a professional MMA fighter and eleven of them came by way of submission.

The yet to be announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, February 8 from a location to be announced with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
