A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC 242 according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN as Puna Soriano is going to be in action against Adam Yandiev.
Soriano (6-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over two years. Soriano also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 1, defeating Jamie Pickett by unanimous decision. Soriano has competed a total of six times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those encounters went past the opening round.
Yandiev (9-1-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Jordan Johnson via second round submission at UFC Fight Night Moscow. Yandiev has competed a total of ten times as a professional MMA fighter and none of those bouts have gone past the second round. Yandiev has picked up a total of nine wins as a professional MMA fighter and six of those victories came by way of submission.
