Report: Randa Markos Faces Marina Rodriguez At UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo

A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo according to Nolan King of Flo Combat as #13 Randa Markos faces Marina Rodriguez.

Markos (8-6-0) has rotated wins and losses throughout her UFC tenure, with the last bout being a decision loss to Nina Ansaroff at UFC On Fox 30. Markos has seen her last four fights go the distance and it has been two years since the fighter got a finish. Markos also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 20, making it to the semi-finals of the reality show before losing to Rose Namajunas.

Rodriguez (9-0-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this fight and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over three years. Rodriguez has seen her last three fights go to the judge’s scorecards and it has been almost two years since the last time the competitor got a finish. Rodriguez has competed three times in the Aspera FC promotion, with two of the wins there coming by either submission or KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo takes place on Saturday, September 22 from the Ibirapueroa Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Jimi Manuwa and Thiago Santos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
