Former two division UFC champion Randy Couture is currently in intensive care at a yet to be named hospital in Las Angeles, California after reportedly suffering a heart attack yesterday.
TMZ Sports first reported the news, stating that the UFC Hall Of Fame member suffered the alleged heart attack while working out at the Unbreakable MMA Gym. Couture reportedly walked himself to the hospital, was then admitted and treated immediately for this serious medical condition.
The report from TMZ Sports also states that Couture is expected to make a full recovery, although a time frame for a full recovery isn’t known at this time.
Couture is currently a color commentator for the Professional Fighters League (PFL), which will hold its next event on Halloween night. It is unknown at this time if Couture is going to be in the commentary booth that night or if he’ll return by the New Years Eve event, which is just over two months away.
There has been no statement yet from Couture or one of his representatives at this time.
