A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Lincoln according to MMA Fighting as Rani Yahya is competing against Luke Sanders.
Yahya (25-9-0-1NC) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, having defeated the duo of Russell Doane and Enrique Briones. Yahya has previously challenged for the World Extreme Cagefighting Bantamweight Title, losing to Chase Beebe by decision at WEC 30. Yahya has picked up a total of twenty five wins as a professional MMA fighter, but has yet to earn a victory by KO/TKO.
Sanders (12-2-0) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Patrick Williams at UFC On Fox 29. Sanders is a former Resurrection Fighting Alliance Bantamweight Champion, defeating fellow UFC fighter Terrion Ware to claim the gold in May of 2015. Sanders has seen just one of his UFC bouts go the distance and that was the aforementioned encounter at UFC On Fox 29.
