A featherweight division encounter has been added to the UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale according to MMA Brasil as Raoni Barcelos faces Chris Gutierrez.
Barcelos (12-1-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated Kurt Holobaugh by third round knockout at UFC Fight Night Boise. Barcelos is also a former Resurrection Fighting Alliance Featherweight Champion, defeating Ricky Musgrave to win the gold at RFA 29. Barcelos has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Mark Dickman at RFA 14.
Gutierrez (12-3-1) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a three fight winning streak. Gutierrez also competed twice in the World Series Of Fighting, earning one victory in the promotion over Timur Valiev at the WSOF 28. Gutierrez is also a former Sugar Creek Showdown Bantamweight Champion, defeating Bendy Casimir at SCS 27 to claim the gold.
UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale is set for Friday, November 30 from the Pearl Theatre At The Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada with Kamaru Usman and Rafael Dos Anjos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
