James Gallager was in need of a new opponent for Bellator 227 after the withdrawal of Cal Ellenor and now he has one because MMA Fighting is reporting that Roman Salazar has accepted the short notice opportunity.

Gallagher (9-1-0) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Jeremiah Labiano and Steven Graham. Gallagher has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Ricky Bandejas at Bellator 204. Gallagher has competed ten times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.

Salazar has suffered nine losses as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of them came by way of decision.

Bellator 227 takes place on Friday, September 27 from the 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland with Ben Henderson and Myles Jury headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs via tape delay on the Paramount Network.
