A flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Eye vs. Calvillo as Ryan Benoit faces Tyson Nam.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Benoit (10-6-0) has rotated wins and losses throughout his UFC run, with the latest bout being a loss to Heili Alatang at UFC Fight Night Busan. Benoit has seen his last four fights go the distance and it has been over five years since the fighter got a finish. Benoit has picked up ten wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Nam (18-11-1) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped fights to the duo of Sergio Pettis and Kai Kara France. Nam hasn’t picked up a victory in almost a year, with that last win coming over Shojin Miki at X-1 World Events 55. Nam has suffered eleven losses as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them have come by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night: Eye vs. Calvillo is set for Saturday, June 13 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
