A women’s flyweight division attraction could be coming to the UFC Fight Night Utica card according to MMA Fighting as #2 Sijara Eubanks may be battling #3 Lauren Murphy.
Eubanks (2-2-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this fight, having done so rotating wins and losses throughout the competitors professional MMA career. Eubanks made it to the finals of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26, but wasn’t allowed to fight for the flyweight title due to not making weight. Eubanks won two of three during her time in Invicta FC, with those wins coming over Gina Begley and AmberLynn Orr.
Murphy (10-3-0) has won two of five under the UFC banner, with her last win coming over Barb Honchak at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale. Murphy also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26, losing in the opening round of the reality show to Nicco Montano. Murphy has seen four of her five fights in the UFC go the distance, holding a record of 1-3-0 in those encounters.
UFC Fight Night Utica takes place on Friday, June 1 from the Adirondack Bank Arena in Utica, New York with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with broadcast plans yet to be announced.
