MMA

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz scored a first round submission win over former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio in the main event of Combate Americas: Tito vs. Alberto.

However, it was recently revealed that the Texas Department Of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR) that the result of the bout was changed to a no decision “pending further investigation.”

Ortiz, shortly after the news broke, would take to Instagram to state that he would fight against the TLDR:

A report has now surfaced from Marc Raimondi of ESPN stating that the TDLR suspended Ortiz last month after testing positive for a banned substance. That suspension has since ended, but Ortiz reportedly disclosed to the TDLR that he was taking the substance, which was not a performance enhancing drug (PED).

The no decision could still be reversed back to a victory for Ortiz, or it could be overturned to a no contest, depending on the investigation by the TDLR.
