A pair of bouts have been added to the UFC Fight Night Denver card according to the Denver Post as Alonzo Menifield faces Saparbek Safarov and “Violent Bob Ross” Luis Pena faces Mike Trizano.
Menifield (7-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted almost three years. Menifield competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 9, defeating Dashawn Boatwright by first round TKO.
Safarov (8-2-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped bouts to the duo of Gian Villante and Tyson Pedro. Safarov has competed ten times as a professional MMA competitor and none of his bouts have gone the distance.
Pena (3-0-0) has already competed once in the UFC, which was a first round submission win over Richie Smullen at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale. Pena also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27 and made it to the semi-finals of the reality show, but was unable to continue due to injury.
Trizano (7-0-0) has also picked up a single win under the UFC banner and that came against Joe Giannetti by split decision at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale. Trizano also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27 reality show and was also unable to move onto the finals due to injury.
UFC Fight Night Denver takes place on Saturday, November 10 from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado with Frankie Edgar and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
