It could be a while before the fighter is seen in the Octagon again, if at all, because Wieczorek has been arrested on charges of robbery and drug trafficking according to Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza.
Wieczorek was arrested by anti-terrorism forces after a two year investigation into the “Psycho Fans” gang, which Wieczorek was allegedly a part of.
The “Psycho Fans” are considered to be extremist followers of the Ruch Chorzow soccer club. The gang has been committing crimes from 2013 to 2017, with those in the club being accused of accused of kidnapping(s) for random, theft, medical fraud, and attacks against rival soccer clubs with machetes and clubs. It is unknown exactly which of, if any, of the additional crimes that Wieczorek participated in alongside the “Psycho Fans.”
An estimated amount of 60 people were a part of the gang, with some of them eventually becoming informants for the prosecutors office.
There has been no comment issued by the UFC on the matter and Wieczorek wasn’t booked in a fight as of this writing.
