A UFC Women’s Featherweight Title fight may be added to the UFC 232 according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as Cyborg defends the gold against UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes.

Cyborg (20-1-0-1NC) is going to be making the third defense of her championship, having previously defended it against former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm and former Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion Yana Kunitskaya. Cyborg became the second ever UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion at UFC 214, defeating former Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion Tonya Evinger by third round TKO. Cyborg may also be potentially headlining her third straight UFC card, as the champion had previously headlined UFC 219 and UFC 222.

Nunes (16-4-0) has been the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion since July of 2016, when she defeated Miesha Tate by first round submission to claim the gold. Nunes is also moving up to featherweight for the first time in her UFC run, which has already lasted almost five years. Nunes hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost four years, with that last loss coming to Cat Zingano at UFC 178.

UFC 232 takes place on Saturday, December 29 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
