Report: UFC Signs Sean Brady

There is a new threat coming to the UFC Welterweight Division as Sean Brady is making his way to the promotion.

MMA Fighting reported the news, but didn’t specify the length of the contract or any financial numbers associated with the deal. The report also states that Brady is expected to make his promotion debut later this month at UFC Fight Night Philadelphia, but no opponent has been named at this time.

Brady (9-0-0) has spent the majority of his professional MMA career competing in the Cage Fury Fighting Championships, with four victories in the organization coming by a combination of KO/TKO and submission. Brady also holds a victory over UFC veteran Colton Smith, with that win coming by way of unanimous decision at a Shogun Fights event in March of 2018. Brady was last seen in action at Legacy Fighting Alliance 49, defeating Gilbert Urbina by unanimous decision. Brady had also competed three times as an amateur MMA competitor, with two of the three wins coming by way of decision.

Kamaru Usman is the current king of the UFC Welterweight Division, having defeated Tyron Woodley by unanimous decision to capture the gold in the co-main event of UFC 235.
