Zhang Weili hasn't fought since her epic fight with Joanna Jedrzejczyk and recent reports suggest the UFC is planning for the strawweight champion to return in April.
John Hyon Ko of South China Morning Post has tweeted that the promotion is planning for a UFC show to take place in Singapore in April, either on the 17th or the 24th. This would be the first UFC card not held on Fight Island or in the United States of America since COVID-19 turned the world upside down.
Still in the early stages but the #UFC is targeting a show on April 17th or 24th in Singapore with Zhang Weili as the headliner, per source. pic.twitter.com/eNshllGkyA

Weili has been a breakout star for the UFC and her performance vs. Jedrzejczyk will have earned her many fans in the MMA world as the UFC targets the lucrative Asian market. No opponent has been rumoured yet but a remark by Dana White that Rose Namajunas doesn't want the fight means that Carla Esparza could be next in line for a title shot.
