The Bellator MMA Lightweight Division may have a new addition according to MMANYTT as UFC veteran and UFC Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes alumni Norman Parke has signed a multi-fight deal with the organization.

Parke (24-6-1-1NC) has won three of five since his UFC departure, with those victories coming over the trio of Andrew Fisher, Paul Redmond and Lukasz Chlewicki. Parke spent three-plus years competing in the UFC, with some notable victories coming over Colin Fletcher, Jon Tuck and Reza Madadi. Parke was the lightweight winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes, defeating the aforementioned Colin Fletcher by decision in the finals.

Bellator MMA’s newest signing joins a deep division filled with a plethora of contenders and is currently ruled over by Brent Primus, who won the gold by defeating Michael Chandler at Bellator 180. The lightweight division has been at a standstill since Primus won the gold at Bellator 180, especially since the champion has yet to defend the title due to a myriad of injuries.

There has been no information given yet by either Parke or Bellator MMA as to when the former UFC star will make his promotion debut or whom that could be coming against.
