This month’s UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige card has taken a big hit as both Vinicius Moreira and Anderson Dos Santos have been pulled from the card due to testing positive for the coronavirus.
MMA Fighting first reported the news of Moreira and Dos Santos’ positive tests.
Moreira was scheduled for a bout against Modestas Bukauskas on the card, while Dos Santos was expecting to face Jack Shore at the event. Both Bukauskas and Shore are expected to remain on the card, as UFC officials are seeking replacement opponents for them to face.
Dos Santos and Moreira now join Ronaldo Souza, Lyman Good and Billy Quarantillo as UFC fighters who have tested positive for the coronavirus. There has also been no comment yet from Moreira, Dos Santos or the UFC yet on the fighter’s positive coronavirus tests.
UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige is set for Wednesday, July 15 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Calvin Kattar and Dan Ige headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
