A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Beijing according to Raphael Marinho of Combate as Xiaonan Yan faces Syuri Kondo.
Yan (9-1-0-1NC) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated the duo of Kailin Curran and Viviane Pereira. Yan hasn’t suffered a defeat in nearly eight years, with that last loss coming to Karina Hallinan via first round submission at Martial Combat 10. Yan has picked up a total of nine wins as a professional MMA fighter, but she has yet to pick up a victory by way of submission.
Kondo (6-1-0) has won just one of two thus far in UFC competition, with that lone win coming over Chanmi Jeon at UFC Fight Night Japan. Kondo is a former Pancrase Women’s Strawweight Champion, defeating Kinberly Tanaka Novaes to win the gold at Pancrase 287. Kondo has fought a total of seven times as a professional MMA fighter and six of those encounters have gone the distance.
UFC Fight Night Beijing takes place on Saturday, November 24 from a location to be announced in Beijing, China with Curtis Blaydes and Francis Ngannou headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
