The main event of the evening saw Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Ryan Bader immediately catching his Bellator GP Tournament opening round opponent King Mo Lawal with a lead left hook. The strike crumbled Mo, and the fight ended in only fifteen seconds.

Bader advances in the tournament and will face Matt Mitrione.

Cheick Kongo got his first knockout in four years. opponent Javy Ayala tries to push him against the cage, work off and throw a sloppy punch, but Kongo blocked, rolls, and throws a magnificent short counter right. . He's now won six in a row and turns 43 next week.

Prospect Aaron Pico delivered again, knocking out 27-fight veteran Lee Morrison with a sick uppercut. Pico has now won three fights in a row after dropping his first.

40-year old Jon Fitch rides a five-fight winning streak after a win over Paul Daley that saw him play the Jon Fitch game to perfection. Daley could be heard booing the fight with Fitch on top of him, saying "this will get you lots of fans, Bellator. Millions."
