The rematch one year in the making has arrived and Fightful has live coverage of the entire Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin 2 card. After months of anticipation, boxing fans will be treated to one of the best boxing cards in the United States of 2018 on paper. With the return of "Chocolatito," a grudge match between David Lemieux and Gary O'Sullivan and two world title fights, tonight could prove to be an unforgettable night of boxing.

MAIN CARD

Roman Gonzalez vs. Moises Fuentes: Gonzalez looked solid starting off, but it became apparent from the start that he is not the legendary fighter that he was prior to his two losses to Srisaket Sor Rungvisai. In the first round, Gonzalez simply went through the motions, but starting the second round, the four-division champion started to pick up the pace. Fuentes got cut under the right eyelid in the second round and started to bleed a lot around the right eye. Gonzalez places a well-time right hook to Fuentes’ jaw and Fuentes is knocked out. Gonzalez shook off the ring rust well and Fuentes was the perfect first opponent back after not competing for a full year.

Official Result: Roman Gonzalez defeated Moises Fuentes by TKO, round 5, 1:44

Gary O'Sullivan vs. David Lemieux: Quick knockout win for Lemieux as he landed a sensational counter left hook to O’Sullivan. O’Sullivan looked dazed and confused and the referee had to stop the fight. With the win, Lemieux now becomes the mandatory challenger to the WBA “super” middleweight title that Gennady Golovkin owns and will defend in the main event tonight.

Jaime Munguia (c) vs. Brandon Cook: WBO Junior Middleweight Title

Round 1: Munguia starts jabbing at Cook, chasing him around the ring. Cook lands a 1-2 jab combination. Both men trade jabs and then Munguia misses with a wide right hand, allowing Cook to land a short uppercut. Munguia landed another right jab and Cook lands a left hook to the body. Munguia landed a series of power punches to the body to end the round, nearly stopping Cook.

Round 2: Munguia continues to land several big jabs to Cook, who is starting to go to the ropes. Munguia keeps landing the right jab and left hook to the body. Cook landed a right hand upstairs. Round 1: Golovkin starts off with a jab and Canelo tries to go for the left hook. Canelo lands a right hook to the body. Golovkin lands another jab upstairs. Canelo and Golovkin connect with two jabs and the first round now turns into a battle of the jab. Canelo lands a jab, but misses with the left uppercut. Golovkin connects with three straight left jabs. Canelo lands a counter left hook to Golovkin’s jaw.

Round 2: Golovkin and Canelo continue trading jabs with Golovkin barely getting the better of the exchange. Canelo lands a hard left hook to Golovkin’s chin, the hardest punch of the fight thus far.
