He's still Francis Ngannou.
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion made his long awaited PFL debut at PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants. It didn't take long once in the cage, as he dragged opponent Renan Ferreira to the ground and destroyed him with punches midway through the first round.
Ngannou became the PFL Heavyweight Superfight Champion in his first MMA since unifying the UFC title in January 2022 against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270. Since then, Ngannou left the UFC, nearly defeated Tyson Fury in a boxing fight, before being soundly beaten by Anthony Joshua earlier this year. Unfortunately, Ngannou has had an emotional year, losing his child. After his fight, he said he hopes when he's done, people will remember his son Kobe's name.
