The World Boxing Super Series super middleweight finals is coming to an end and Fightful has you covered. The finals, which will see WBA champion George Groves face off against Callum Smith, is taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and the winner walks away with the Muhammad Ali Trophy as well as the WBA "super," WBC Diamond and Ring Magazine 168-pound world titles.

MAIN CARD
George Groves (WBA Champion) vs. Callum Smith (WBC Diamond Titleholder): WBA "Super," WBC Diamond and Ring Magazine super middleweight championship fight/WBSS super middleweight tournament finals
Round 1: The first 30 seconds of the fight sees almost no action between the two boxers as they try to find their range. Smith lands a quick left jab while Groves is trying to fight close and attack the body. Groves manages to land a big right jab upstairs and both men exchange right hands. Groves continues to throw left jabs to the body and Smith lands a quick right hand at the end of the round.

Round 2: Groves barely connects with another jab to the body. Smith goes for a three-punch combination to the body. Both men grapple for a bit as Smith throws a quick left hook to the body. Groves blocks a straight right from Smith but Smith is not pressuring Groves by moving forward. Smith lands a counter left hook to Groves. Groves lands a right hook to Smith.

Round 3: Groves is landing the jab more, but Smith then stuns Groves with a massive right hand. Smith pressures Groves to the corner, but the champion was able to defend well and avoid getting knocked down. Smith goes for another right hand, but Groves telegraphs it and then lands a quick left to end the round.

Round 4: The fourth round starts with Groves looking to let his hands go and land the left jab. Smith connects with another right hand and Groves manages to fight up close and land a couple of body hooks. Groves lands another jab upstairs. Smith attacks Groves’ body with an uppercut, but Groves lands a counter right hand. Smith’s left eye is starting to swell up a little bit.

Round 5: Smith lands a counter left jab to Groves’ jab and Groves responds with a couple of body hooks. Both men are fighting against the ropes and both men land simultaneous hooks to the body. Groves lands two more jabs and Smith answers back with two more. Smith lands another right hand, but Groves counters with several jabs. The fighters’ feet are tangled and Smith goes down, but it is ruled a slip and not a knockdown.

Round 6: Just like in the last round, Smith lands another right hand and Groves responds by throwing a pair of jabs. Groves lands a left jab upstairs and Smith lands a right hand that has the champion’s legs wobbly for a moment. Groves quickly hits a stiff left jab. Groves lands a right hook, which Smith blocks. Smith lands a big left hook and Groves is off-balance for a bit. Groves rebounds and then hits a right hand to the body to end the round.

Round 7: The two men tee off at the start of the round, exchanging numerous right hands. Both men get tangled up and Smith goes down again, but it is not ruled a knockdown. Once Smith gets back up, the two finalists continue to throw right hands. Smith lands a big left hook and Groves is stunned! Smith takes down Groves and Groves is out! Callum Smith is your WBSS super middleweight winner and new WBA “super” super middleweight champion.
