Kyoji Horiguchi Knocks Out Ian McCall In Nine Seconds; Rizin 10 Results

MMA

The string of terrible luck continues for Ian McCall.

It was hard enough for him to get back in the ring. Five UFC fights were canceled or pulled before the top-ten flyweight finally asked for his release to compete in Rizin. A freak accident cut left his debut in the company short months ago, but Kyoji Horiguchi made McCall's sophomore Rizin effort even shorter.

In the main event of Rizin 10, former UFC title challenger Kyoji Horiguchi knocked McCall out with a left jab just nine seconds into the fight. This further separates the two, as McCall has lost three fights in a row and is winless since 2014 (and has two wins in his last 8 fights), while Horiguchi has won nine straight since his loss to Demetrious Johnson in 2015. Horiguchi has also won five fights in just under ten months.
