Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor

Round One: The main event of the evening, a rematch 7 years in the making is officially underway after proper introductions from Bruce Buffer and final introductions from referee Herb Dean and here we go. McGregor goes right to Poirier and lands a left hook to open and Poirier backs up against the fence. Poirier lands a lead leg kick, changes levels and takes McGregor down. McGregor scoots back to the fence and gets back to his feet. McGregor lands a left shoulder to Poirier in the clinch and Poirier lands one of his own. Poirier reverses momentum and has McGregor against the fence and lands a left hand. Poirier gores for another level change while against the fence but McGregor changes momentum and now has Poirier against the fence. McGregor lands a left elbow that softens the grasp of Poirier and he's able to get out of the clinch and circle back to the center of octagon, where he lands a left hook and follows it up with a right uppercut. Poirier lands an overhand right and laughs at McGregor, who lands a 1-2 onto Poirier. McGregor narrowly misses a spinning wheel kick and the opening frame comes to a close.

Round Two: The second round is underway and McGregor drills Poirier with a left hook after Poirier lands a calf kick onto McGregor. Poirier lands another kick to the lead leg of McGregor but the latter lands a left to the body and follows it up with a left hook to the head. McGregor catches a kick attempt from Poirier and pushes Poirier against the fence and narrowly misses a left hook before catching another kick and pushes Poirier against the cage yet again. Poirier lands a huge left hook and drills a wobbly McGregor with a straight right that sends McGregor to the canvas and referee Herb Dean waves it off. Dustin Poirier has knocked out Conor McGregor and sent shockwaves throughout the world of MMA. What a performance.

Dan Hooker vs. Michael Chandler

Round One: The co-feature of the evening is underway with the long awaited debut of former Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler. Chandler comes out and pushes the pace and Hooker starts to circle to his right but Chandler lands a right hook and a kick to the body. Chandler drills Hooker with a left hook that sends Hooker to the canvas, lands a couple follow up shots and referee Marc Goddard waves this one off. What a debut for "Iron" Mike Chandler.

Result - Michael Chandler def. Dan Hooker via TKO (2:30, R1)

Jessica Eye vs. Joanne Calderwood

Round One: The ladies take center stage and this one is officially underway. Calderwood initiates the clinch and eats a 1-2 combo from Eye for doing so. Eye pushes Calderwood against the cage, Calderwood slips out of the clinch, lands a 1-2 of her own and slips out of another clinch by Eye. Calderwood lands a right jab but Eye again latches onto her and gets her in the clinch and lands a couple of left jabs before Calderwood scrambles out of the clinch. Calderwood lands a straight right but Eye again gets her against the fence. Calderwood lands a right hook to the body of Eye which forces Eye to get out of the clinch and circle back to the center of the octagon. Calderwood lands a right elbow on Eye and follows it up with a lead leg kick which catches the attention of Eye. Calderwood lands a pair of leg kicks and Eye narrowly misses a right hook as the bell sounds and the opening frame comes to a close.

Round Two: The second round is underway and Calderwood lands another leg kick to pick right up where she left off in the opening frame. Calderwood lands a 1-2 and follows it up with a front kick to the body of Eye and then trips up Eye for a takedown but allows Eye back up to her feet. Eye gets Calderwood in the clinch and the pair trade uppercuts before they split the hold. Calderwood hits yet another front kick to the body. Eye lands a right hook but eats an immediate 1-2 from Calderwood for her troubles and Calderwood follows it up with a teep kick to the face of her opponent. Eye goes or another right hook but misses and eats another front kick to the body from Calderwood. Eye perfectly times a level change and gets the takedown as the round comes to an end.

Round Three: Eye immediately initiates the clinch and presses Calderwood against the fence. Eye remains in the clinch with Calderwood and is landing a few light shots to Calderwood before Calderwood is able to launch herself off the fence and circles back to the middle of the octagon. Calderwood lands a right hook and subsequently stuffs a level change attempt from Eye. Calderwood is the one to initiate the clinch this time and she lands a knee to the body before getting back to the center of the cage. Eye latches on to the back of Eye's neck but eats a knee to the face and can't finish a takedown attempt as the buzzer sounds and this one is going to the judge's scorecards.

Result - Joanne Calderwood def. Jessica Eye via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Andrew Sanchez vs. Makhmud Muradov

Round One: This one with the former "TUF" winner Andrew Sanchez against Floyd Mayweather's protege, Makhmud Muradov is officially underway. Sanchez goes directly for the leg of Muradov but is pushed back his Uzbekistan-born opponent. Muradov just misses a left uppercut and Sanchez goes for a level change but is stuffed by Muradov. Sanchez is able to move out of the way of a left head kick from Muradov but his counter left hook also misses. Muradov initiates a brief clinch but pushes Sanchez off the fence before circling back to the center of the octagon. Sanchez lands a right hook and stuffs a level change from Muradov before delivering a pair of left jabs that backs Muradov off as the opening frame comes to a close.

Round Two: The second round is underway and it opens up with an immediate kick from Sanchez that goes low om Muradov that causes referee Jason Herzog to momentarily stop the bout. Both men touch gloves and the fight resumes. Sanchez tries for an immediate level change but Muradov stuffs the takedown attempt. Muradov lands a right uppercut on Sanchez and follows it up with a straight left that also finds a home on the chin of Sanchez. Muradov lands a pair of left jabs that opens up Sanchez's nose as the round comes to an end.

Round Three: Muradov immediately comes forward to open the final frame but Sanchez lands a nice left jab that stops the momentum of Muradov. Sanchez lands a right hook but eats a left hook the body for his troubles. Muradov lands a right hook that forces Sanchez's legs to wobble and he immediately retreats to the fence but Muradov pours on the offense and Jason Herzog waves this one off.

Result - Makhmud Muradov def. Andrew Sanchez via TKO (2:59, R3)

Marina Rodriguez vs. Amanda Ribas

Round One: The main card opener is officially underway after Bruce Buffer welcomes us to the pay-per-view portion of UFC 257. Ribas immediately cuts off the cage and pressures Rodriguez. Ribas narrowly misses a front kick to the body and Rodriguez fakes one of her own but Ribas uses the miss to successfully take this one to the mat. Ribas gains top control after a scramble attempt from Rodriguez and Ribas lands a few shots of ground and pound. Ribas remains in top control and starts working the body of Rodriguez, who teases a triangle-choke from the bottom but the buzzer sounds and round one comes to a close.

Round Two: The second round begins with Ribas again pushing the pressure but Rodriguez stops her in her tracks with a straight right and follows it up with another one that drops Ribas, lands some heavy ground and pound and then walks-off after she thinks referee Herb Dean waved the fight off but he didn't and Ribas latches onto her leg but Rodriguez pushes her off and lays a few more shots to Ribas before Dean finally waves it off. What a performance.
