Play-by-Play
Israel Adesanya (C) vs. (#1) Robert Whittaker — UFC Middleweight Championship
Round One - Whittaker opens with a leg kick and Adesanya responds with a lead leg kick of his own. They exchange leg kicks once again and Adesanya fires off a pair of heavy leg kicks and then a calf kick lands for the champion. Adesanya throws a high kick that partially lands then drops Whittaker with a straight right and fires off another leg kick before taunting Whittaker, who dives for a takedown but Adesanya sprawls and stuffs the attempt. Whittaker dives for another and it gets stopped yet again by the champion who fires a body kick towards Whittaker and the buzzer sounds to end the opening frame.
Round Two - Whittaker just misses a head kick to start, Adesanya lands a straight right, Whittaker misses a right, lands a left and Adesanya wallops him with a counter right hook. Adesanya pops a jab, Whittaker responds with a straight left that lands and Whittaker just misses an overhand right but lands a left on the break. Whittaker continues to be the aggressor and just misses a high kick but eats a heavy lead leg kick. Whittaker dives for a takedown and lands it, Adesanya rolls to the cage and uses it to get to his feet. Whittaker has Adesanya locked against the cage whilst in the clinch, lands a few knees to the thighs and Adesanya's able to break away. The champion lands a kick to the body, Whittaker lands a leg kick, Whittaker lands a left hook and the horn sounds to send this one to round number three.
Round Three - Whittaker lands a left hook and Adesanya rips a kick to the body in response. Whittaker wallops Adesanya with a right hook, Adesanya responds with an uppercut that lands, Adesanya lands another leg kick, Whittaker dives for a takedown but the champion is alert to it and stuffs the attempt. Adesanya pops the jab, goes for a high kick but Whittaker catches it and throws Adesanya to the mat. Adesanya scrambles back to his feet, Whittaker latches onto his back, pushes the champion to the fence, Adesanya works the hands, breaks out and gets back to the center of the octagon. Whittaker works the jab but eats a massive leg kick from Adesanya. Whittaker continues with the jab, Adesanya lands a kick to the body and the buzzer sounds that'll send this one to championship rounds.
Round Four - A body kick from Adesanya partially lands to open the frame. Whittaker latches on but the champion pushes him off and lands a knee to the body on the break. Whittaker whiffs on a pair of left hooks but lands a perfectly timed takedown. Adesanya scrambles back to his feet, Whittaker gets the back but Adesanya fights the hands, shakes him off and gets back to the center of the octagon. Whittaker lands a right hook, Adesanya plants a kick to the body and just misses a high kick. Whittaker pops the jab, Adesanya just misses a left hook and Whittaker lands another counter jab. Whittaker lands a leg kick, Adesanya continues to work the leg and lands a pair of thunderous calf kicks on Whittaker. Adesanya missed a counter right off of a pair of jabs from Whittaker, who latches on for the clinch and rips a right hook to the champion's body. Adesanya circles back to the middle of the cage and just misses a high kick at the buzzer sounds and this one is headed to the fifth and final round.
Round Five - It appears as if Whittaker needs a finish to become a two-time champion and the final frame is underway. Whittaker lands a straight right, Adesanya finds a home for a body kick, Whittaker pops the jab and it snaps Adesanya's head back. Whittaker lands a straight right, referee Herb Dean steps-in asks Whittaker if he needs a moment after an apparent eye poke, Whittaker waves him off then decides to take a few seconds before Dean allows the fight to resume. Whittaker dives for a takedown, gets it but Adesanya slides to the fence and uses it to get back to his feet. Whittaker has the champion clinched against the cage then grabs a leg, Adesanya pushes off but Whittaker lands a right hook on the break as the final 90-seconds approach. Whittaker lands another takedown but Adesanya gets right back up to his feet yet again and Whittaker rides out the rest of the round clinched with Adesanya against the fence until the horn and this one is headed to the judge's scorecards.

(#3) Derrick Lewis vs. (#11) Tai Tuivasa
Round One - Tuivasa starts with a hook to the body followed by a lead leg kick that lands. Tuivasa ducks under an overhand right from Lewis and Tuivasa latches on for the clinch and presses Lewis against the fence. Tuivasa lands a few knees to the thigh while clinched up and referee Dan Miragliotta wants Tuivasa to work or he'll break them up...which he does a few seconds later. Lewis throws a high kick, Tuivasa blocks it, Lewis throws a jumping kick to the body and lands a left hand on Tuivasa. Lewis clinches Tuivasa against the fence and dives for a takedown, Tuivasa keeps his balance and backs himself up to the fence and lands an elbow. Tuivasa reverses momentum against the fence but Lewis trips him to the mat, Lewis starts unloading massive right hands, Tuivasa climbs back to his feet and they start trading until Tuivasa latches back on into the clinch. Lewis reverses momentum and tosses Tuivasa back to the mat and starts working the body while Tuivasa is sprawled but Tuivasa works himself back to the fence. Tuivasa ends up with Lewis clinched against the fence and lands a knee to the body and the horn sounds to send this one to round number two.
Round Two - Lewis whiffs on a right hook, Tuivasa ducks under and lands a lead leg kick. Lewis lands a left, Tuivasa's hurt, backs up to the fence, Lewis gets the clinch, Tuivasa spins back off the fende, Tuivasa grabs the neck, Lewis hits him with a right, Tuivasa wobbles Lewis with a counter right, a massive elbow hurts Lewis even more and a right hook sends Lewis face-first to the canvas and this one is over! Tai Tuivasa is officially a contender!

(#3) Jared Cannonier vs. (#4) Derek Brunson
Round One - Cannonier opens with a kick to Brunson's lead leg. Brunson's body kick is blocked by Cannonier, Brunson dives for a takedown but Cannonier shoves him back. Brunson dives for another, Cannonier sprawls and lands some elbows to the side of Brunson's head, Brunson grabs a leg and tries to trip Cannonier and he gets him to the mat, Brunson grabs the neck but Cannonier gets right back up. Brunson latches on yet again but Cannonier powers away and just misses a right hook. Cannonier has a kick caught, but he shakes off Brunson's grip and rips a shot to the body. Brunson throws an uppercut, Brunson dives into it and latches onto Cannonier but Cannonier rolls away from the threat and gets back to the center of the cage. Brunson lands a left, then another, then a third, goes for another takedown but Cannonier shoves him aside, throws a right, Brunson grabs the leg, pushes Cannonier to the fence, Cannonier fights him away for a moment but Brunson remains relentless and gets the fight to the mat. Brunson gets to mount, looks for a head-and-arm choke, Cannonier escapes danger for the moment, scoots to the cage and uses it to get back to his feet and he breaks away from Brunson. Cannonier whiffs on a right and Brunson drills him with a counter right hook and sends Cannonier to the canvase, Brunson gets the back, locks in the rear-naked choke but Cannonier survives to the bell and this one is somehow heading to round number two.
Round Two - Brunson immediately shoots to open the frame and he lands the takedown. Cannonier fights the hands, Brunson's looking to transition, Cannonier gets to his knees, Brunson shoves him back to the mat but Cannonier scrambles back to his feet. Cannonier lands a hook then a kick to Brunson's lead leg and Brunson lands a counter straight left. Brunson lands a left, Cannonier lands a right, Cannonier lands another leg kick, Brunson misses a left, dives for another takedown but Cannonier shoves him aside and lands a right hook on the break. Cannonier lands an uppercut, Brunson lands a leg kick and Cannonier answers back with a leg kick of his own. Cannonier wallops Brunson with a right hook, Brunson goes for a takedown, Cannonier partially lands an elbow and then drills Brunson with another elbow, Brunson's stumbling around the octagon, Cannonier sends him to the canvas with a hook then unloads elbows until referee Kerry Hatley waves this one off! Statement win for Jared Cannonier!

Alexander Hernandez vs. Renato Moicano
Round One - Hernandez opens with a kick to Moicano's lead leg. Moicano responds with a left hook, Hernandez misses a counter right, Moicano fakes the takedown and fires off an uppercut but Hernandez evades and lands a left hook. Moicano grabs a leg, Hernandez shoves him off, Moicano grabs the leg again but Hernandez slides out again. Hernandez lands a left, Moicano dives for a takedown and trips Hernandez to the mat, Hernandez scrambles and gets back to his feet, Moicano stays locked-up and gets the fight right back to the mat. Moicano immediately gets into side control, Hernandez scrambles, Moicano gets the back, Hernandez rolls and gets back to his feet, clinches up with Moicano against the fence and drills the Brazilian with an elbow on the break. Hernandez lands a leg kick, then a straight right and a kick to the body. Hernandez now grabs a leg, Moicano shoves him away and Hernandez lands a right hook. Moicano drills Hernandez with a right, Hernandez misses a high kick but it partially catches Moicano in the chest and the horn sounds to send this one to round number two.
Round Two - Hernandez lands a left, just missed an elbow, Moicano initiates the clinch, lands a knee but Hernandez powers off the fence and circles back to the center of the octagon. Moicano lands a shoulder to the chin, then a left hook and then an uppercut then perfectly times a takedown as it appears that Hernandez is hurt, Moicano gets the back, locks-in the rear-naked choke, has the body triangle right and it's all over, Hernandez has no choice but to tap! What a performance from Renato Moicano!

Bobby Green vs. Nasrat Haqparast
Round One - Green opens with a left that lands, Haqparast sends a 1-2 back in his direction and Green lands another left hook. Haqparast lands a left hook but the fight is momentarily halted as the referee Mike Beltran acknowledges that Green was poked in the eye, Green gives the OK and Beltran allows the fight to resume but Green quickly pokes Haqparast in the eye and the fight is again stopped. Haqparast recovers and gives the thumbs up, Beltran warns both fighters and this one is back underway. Green goes right back to work with a right hook and rips a hook to the body but Haqparast comes firing back with a 1-2 that lands. Green goes wild and throws seemingly 15 punches in about 5 seconds and most of it actually finds a home, the crowd is loving Green and heavily chanting his name. Haqparast pressure Green, lands a few shots but Green drills him with a right hook that stymies his momentum and the buzzer sounds to send this one to the second round.
Round Two - Green continues to pop the jab, then a straight left, Haqparast comes back with a straight right that misses and gets a head kick blocked. Green with a leg kick then a 1-2 that all land and then another jab for Green hits it's mark. Haqparast lands a leg kick, then another, Green continues to fire off the jab but he whiffs on an uppercut and eats a counter right hook from Haqparast. Green fires a right straight down the middle and drills Haqparast right on the bridge of the nose, Haqparast with a left hook that just misses, Green pops a 1-2 that both land, Haqparast throws a high kick and it partially lands, then another that misses, Green yells in his direction and then pops him with a straight right at the buzzer to sends this one to round number three.
Round Three - Green lands a left to start the final frame, Haqparast responds with a lead leg kick as Green continues to pop that jab. Haqparast misses a right hook and Green fires and lands a left hook back towards him. Haqparast rips a left to the body, Green lands a straight left and drills Haqparast with a 1-2. Haqparast lands a left, Green kicks him in the body then Haqparast goes up-high with a kick but it's blocked. Green fires a straight right that lands, a pair of jabs also land as Green is tuning Haqparast up a bit as this one reaches it's final two-minutes. Green with a front-kick to the mid-section lands, then a left hook, then a right hook and Green is feeling it. Haqparast misses yet another high kick, Green again pops the jabs, then a 1-2 and a straight left right down the pipe lands for Green as the final 30-seconds approach. Green peppers Haqparast with a 1-2, a straight right, Haqparast has another high kick blocked, Green lands a right hook and the buzzer sounds to send this one to the judge's scorecards.
