Round One: The round begins with Held cracking Hadzovic with a few rights, Hadzovic then pops Held with a high kick. Hadzovic backs up a swinging Held by nailing him with a counter right uppercut, Held responds by nailing Hadzovic with a few uppercuts of his own. Hadzovic continues nailing Held with a series of rights, Held scores a takedown on Hadzovic and he gets the half guard. Held quickly transitions to the side control position on Hadzovic, Held returns to the half guard and then the full guard while nailing Hadzovic with strikes. Held regains the half guard on Hadzovic after landig more strikes, Hadzovic traps Held in the full guard again. Held rolls for a heel hook and winds up maintaining top position in the end, Held transitions to back control on Hadzovic as the round ends.
