Play-by-Play
(#2) Max Holloway vs. (#4) Arnold Allen
Round One - Allen opens with a low kick. Holloway pops the jab, then a 1-2, and Allen comes back with a 1-2 of his own. Allen with a low kick, then misses a kick up high, but drills Holloway with a right hook. Allen lands a jab to the body, then a low kick, and Holloway lands a straight right to the body. Holloway lands a 1-2, Allen jabs, and Allen lands a left hook. Holloway just misses a spinning back kick to the body but lands a side kick to the body, and Allen just misses a left hook at the horn to end an entertaining opening frame.

Round Two - Allen drills Holloway with a left hook to begin round number two. Allen with a straight right to the body, then wallops the former champion with another left hook back up top. Holloway with a low kick, then another, before a 1-2 finds a home for 'Blessed'. Allen pops the jab, then lands another left hook, but Holloway comes firing back with a 1-2 up top before ripping a right hook to the body. Allen lands a stabbing front kick to the body but Holloway comes back with one of his own. A graphic pops up on the broadcast that Holloway has now joined Frankie Edgar and Rafael dos Anjos with over seven (7) hours of time inside of the UFC octagon and the buzzer sounds to end round number two.

Round Three - Allen lands a straight right to the body to open round number three. Holloway rushes forward and lands a 1-2 as Allen comes back with a jab. Allen finds a home for a left hook and Holloway lands a left hook of his own. Holloway lands a straight left to the body and Allen wallops the former champion with a left hook up top. Holloway's nose is leaking a bit but that doesn't slow him down as he cracks Allen with a 1-2 then a low kick. Allen's nose has some damage on it as well now, Holloway kicks him below the belt but Allen waves off referee Jason Herzog and gives the thumbs up to continue as he and Holloway touch gloves. Allen lands a side kick to the body, then a 1-2, but Holloway comes back with a 1-2 of his own. Holloway lands a side kick to the body, then a 1-2 back up top, followed by a jab. Allen rips a left hook to the body, then just misses a spinning back fist up top at the horn and this one is headed to main event rounds.

Round Four - Holloway opens the action with a low kick. Allen lands a low kick of his own, and goes up top with a kick but Holloway blocks it. Allen lands a straight left, Holloway rips a left hook to the body, and goes for a side kick to the body but Allen catches it and wallops the former champion with a head kick. Holloway lands a low kick then blocks a head kick attempt from Allen, before delivering a 1-2 to Allen up top. Holloway lands a side kick to the body, Allen lands a straight left, and Holloway lands a straight left to the body. Allen forces Holloway to trip after a heavy low kick then just evades a high kick attempt from Holloway. Allen just misses a spinning back kick to the body but avoids a right hook from Holloway at the buzzer and this one is headed to the fifth and final round.
Fightful scores this round 10-9 to Holloway. 39-37 to Holloway after four rounds.
Round Five - Allen's coach Firas Zahabi tells him that he needs a finish in this fifth round to steal the victory. Allen comes out firing with a 1-2, then just misses a head kick and he's listening to Zahabi. Allen wildly swings with a 1-2, but misses, and lands a low kick. Holloway lands a knee to the body, and just misses a spinning back elbow back up top...but Holloway may have actually partially landed the elbow after a second glance. Holloway lands a 1-2 then evades a head kick attempt from Allen before popping the jab. Holloway with a side kick to the body, Allen clinches, and shoves Holloway to the fence. Allen lands a 1-2 after Holloway powers off the fence, and Allen lands a front kick to the body as the clock ticks under two minutes remaining in our main event of the evening. Holloway with a low kick, then a front kick to the body, and just ducks under a head kick attempt from Allen. Holloway whiffs on a left hook and walks into a 1-2 from Allen. Holloway lands a spinning back kick to the body, Allen cracks Holloway with a head kick and Holloway drops to a knee but he may have slipped, either way, it landed. Holloway clinches, Allen looks for a takedown, and we have just under 20 seconds remaining in this one. Allen breaks and lands a knee to the body and throws a wild combination, as does Holloway, and Holloway lands a right hook that drops Allen at the horn and this one is headed to the judge's scorecards! What a fight!

(#14) Edson Barboza vs. Billy Quarantillo
Round One - Quarantillo immediately dives in for a takedown but Barboza stuffs the attempt and lands a stabbing front kick to the body. Quarantillo pops the jab, then a low kick, and Barboza returns fire with one of his patented heavy lead leg kicks. Quarantillo dives in for another takedown, Barboza defends well, and Quarantillo has Barboza clinched along the fence. Barboza powers off the fence and pops the jab. Quarantillo lands a front kick to the body but Barboza wallops Quarantillo with a knee to the face and Quarantillo face plants to the mat and referee Keith Peterson waves this one off! Edson Barboza is back!

(#13) Dustin Jacoby vs. (#15) Azamat Murzakanov
Round One - Jacoby opens with a low kick. Murzakanov wallops Jacoby with a right hook and Jacoby comes back with another low kick. Murzakanov lands another right hook then pops the jab. A straight right lands for Murzakanov, as does a 1-2. Murzakanov drops Jacoby with a right hook, Jacoby pops back up but he's still struggling and Murzakanov smells blood. A leaping knee to the body lands for Murzakanov, then a 1-2, then a right hook to the body, and Jacoby is somehow walking through the barrage and circles off the fence and back to the center of the octagon. Jacoby's nose is busted open and Murzakanov dives in for a takedown and gets it. Jacoby scrambles and gets back to his feet, where he eats a jab to the nose and the buzzer sounds to end the opening frame.

Round Two - Murzakanov opens the round with a left hook to the body. Murzakanov lands a left hook back up top, then another, and pops the jab. Murzakanov cracks Jacoby with a left hook and dives in for a takedown but Jacoby stuffs it and has Murzakanov clinched along the fence. Not much going on against the fence but Jacoby maintains control for awhile until Murzakanov powers his way free and circles back to the center of the octagon. Jacoby pops the jab, Murzakanov lands a left hook, and Murzakanov rips a left hook to the body. Murzakanov cracks Jacoby with an overhand left and Jacoby is down again! Murzakanov rushes over and looks for the finish but Jacoby is able to avoid any further damage until the horn sounds to send this one to the third and final round.

Round Three - Murzakanov opens the final frame with a right hook to the body. Jacoby pops the jab, Murzakanov lands a low kick, then a 1-2 back up top. Jacoby snaps Murzakanov's head back with a jab, then lands a side kick to the body. Jacoby's started the round better than the previous two and it's very possible that he needs a finish here in the third and final round to steal this victory. Jacoby lands a 1-2, Murzakanov lands a right hook, and just misses an overhand left that may have very well put Jacoby's lights out if it landed. Murzakanov looks for the level change but Jacoby stuffs it and clinches Murzakanov against the cage wall. Jacoby backs off, Murzakanov goes for another takedown but Jacoby shoves him back. Jacoby clinches and now looks for a takedown of his own, Murzakanov is down to one knee, Jacoby trips him to the mat, and lands some short shots to the side of the head. Jacoby grabs a leg and looks to flatten Murzakanov out but Murzakanov gets back to his feet as Jacoby looks for another takedown. Murzakanov defends well and avoids the takedown as the clock ticks under 30 seconds remaining in this one. Murzakanov powers off the fence, both men throw heat, but nothing lands at the buzzer and this one is headed to the judge's scorecards.

Tanner Boser vs. Ion Cutelaba
Round One - Boser opens with a right hook to the body. Cutelaba wallops Boser with a left hook, then another, and a side kick to the body. Cutelaba lands another kick to the body, then cracks Boser with a 1-2. Cutelada lands a front kick to the body and blasts Boser with a right hook and Boser is down! Boser scrambles back to his feet, Cutelaba scoops and slams Boser and starts crushing him with heavy ground and pound and referee Keith Peterson has seen enough! What a performance from Ion Cutelaba!
