Play-by-Play
(#3) Marlon Vera vs. (#5) Cory Sandhagen
Round One - Vera opens with a leg kick. Sandhagen lands a side kick to the body and just misses a 1-2. Sandhagen lands a low kick, then another, then a third...then a fourth. Vera pops the jab, Sandhagen goes back to the well with another low kick and Vera just evades a high kick from Sandhagen. Vera pops the jab, Sandhagen just misses a flying knee and clinches Vera against the fence. Sandhagen trips Vera to the mat, Vera is throwing from the bottom but Sandhagen positions himself nicely and starts hammering Vera with ground and pound. Sandhagen starts dropping elbows but Sandhagen is leaking blood pretty badly, not sure where that came from, but there's a cut along his forehead. Sandhagen continues the barrage from the top, heavy elbows landing now but Vera remains active from his back and is landing some side punches from the bottom but the horn sounds to end an entertaining opening frame.

Round Two - Vera pops the jab to open the frame. Vera with a low kick but Sandhagen cracks him with an uppercut before landing a perfectly timed takedown. Vera latches on for a choke but Sandhagen quickly slides out of danger and settles into half guard with just under four minutes to work. Sandhagen lands a bevy of shots to the side of Vera's head and steps over into side control. Vera kicks Sandhagen back, Sandhagen is standing and comes back down with a big right hand that finds a home. Sandhagen is back in side control, this time on the opposite side, and looks for a head and arm choke. Vera has both feet against the fence and is trying to shoot himself over Sandhagen but ends up scrambling to his feet. Sandhagen lands a 1-2, then an uppercut and Vera lands a low kick. Sandhagen just misses a flying knee and Vera whiffs on a front kick to the head attempt at the buzzer to send this one to round number three.

Round Three - Sandhagen throws a high kicks and slips but he's quickly back to his feet. Vera lands a 1-2, Sandhagen lands a straight right hand and dives in for a takedown but Vera stuffs the attempt. Sandhagen lands a 1-2, then a right hook to the body, before landing a left hook back up top. Sandhagen lands a 1-2, then a low kick, and Vera whiffs on a spinning back kick attempt at the horn and this one is headed to the main event rounds.

Round Four - Sandhagen lands a straight left to start. Sandhagen lets off a 1-2 then narrowly misses a flying knee. Vera lands a 1-2, Sandhagen fires back with a right hook then a low kick, and Vera rushes forward with a flurry that mostly lands. Sandhagen pops the jab and gets out of the way of a front kick attempt from Vera before delivering another low kick. Vera lands a straight left, then a 1-2 but walks into a right hook from Sandhagen at the horn and this one is headed to the fifth and final round.

Round Five - Vera lands a 1-2 to open the final frame. Sandhagen dives in for a takedown but Vera shoves him back but Sandhagen is relentless and dives in for another and this time, he gets Vera down to the mat. Sandhagen lands some shots from the top but Vera scrambles and is back on his feet as the clock nears just two minutes remaining and Vera needs a finish to steal a victory here. Vera rips a left hook to the body but eats a 1-2 up top from Sandhagen. Vera lands a left hook, Sandhagen lands a low kick, and Vera nails Sandhagen with a right hook. Sandhagen rushes forward with a flurry, Vera finds a home for a low kick followed by a spinning back kick to the body. Sandhagen changes levels, Vera slides back, and catches Sandhagen's leg and now has the back while Sandhagen is still standing. Vera backs off and lands a flying knee, and a 1-2, then a head kick but Sandhagen is still standing and beats the clock as this one is headed to the judge's scorecards.

(#3) Holly Holm vs. (#6) Yana Santos
Round One - Santos quickly clinches and has Holm up against the cage. Holm reverses position and now has Santos pressed against the fence. Santos is back in control and lands a few knees to the body. Santos lands a few shots to the side of the head and Holm shoves her back to force the break. Santos lands a low kick, Holm clinches and has Santos against the cage. Holm drills Santos with an elbow to the jaw but Santos escapes the clinch and circles back to the center of the octagon. Santos goes for a leg kick but Holm catches it and trips Santos to the mat. Holm ends up in side control and rides out the final few seconds of the round until the buzzer sounds to end the opening frame.

Round Two - Santos opens the action with a low kick. Holm lands a calf kick and trips Santos to the mat for her second takedown of the bout, but this time has plenty of time to work. Holm is right in front of her corner and looks to secure side control but Santos is defending nicely thus far. Holm gets to side control and starts landing short punches on Santos, who scrambles, but Holm holds firm in side control. Santos lands a nice short elbow, Holm returns the favor and lands one of her own. Holm starts hammering Santos with ground and pound but the horn sounds to send this one to the third and final round.
Fightful scores this round 10-8 to Holm. 19-18 to Holm after two rounds.
Round Three - Holm looks for another takedown but Santos holds firm and shoves the former champion back. Holm is relentless and trips Santos down for her third successful takedown of the bout. Holm quickly gets side control, Santos scrambles but gives up her back and Holm looks for the choke. Santos thinks better of it and rolls back down to her back but she's running out of time with under two minutes to salvage this bout. Santos is finally able to scramble her way back up but Holm clinches and has her pressed against the fence. Santos forces the break with under a minute to find a finish. Holm dives in for a takedown and scoops and slams Santos to the mat. Holm rides out the final 20 seconds with top control until the buzzer sounds to send this one to the judge's scorecards.

Nate Landwehr vs. Austin Lingo
Round One - Lingo opens the action with a straight left hand. Lingo pops the jab and rips a right hook to the body before landing a left hook back up top. Landwehr lands a right hook followed by a low kick. Lingo with a 1-2, then a jab, and a right hook to the body. A gash has already opened up alongside Landwehr's right eye but commentary says it's from an apparent clashing of the heads. Landwehr looks for the clinch but Lingo evades and drills Landwehr with a left hook. Landwehr fires back with a 1-2 then goes for a flying knee but eats a 1-2 from Lingo at the horn to end the opening frame.

Round Two - Lingo lands a 1-2 then a right hook to the body. Landwehr lands a leg kick, then another before just getting out of the way of a massive right hook from Lingo. Landwehr cracks Lingo with an uppercut and a low kick and Lingo's nose is now busted open. Another lead leg kick lands for Landwehr, who then lands a 1-2 back up top. Landwehr with another 1-2 and follows it up with a side kick to the body. Landwehr lands a head kick followed by a perfectly timed takedown. Lingo gives up his back, Landwher tucks his arm under the chin, falls back, and Lingo has no choice but to tap out! What a win for Nate Landwehr!

(#11) Andrea Lee vs. (#13) Maycee Barber
Round One - Lee catches a kick from Barber and quickly gets this one to the mat. Barber has Lee's right arm locked in a very odd position with her legs but Lee transitions into side control. Barber scrambles, gets to her feet, and circles back to the center of the octagon. Lee lands a 1-2, Barber with a side kick to the body before ripping a right hook to Lee's body as well. Lee lands a low kick, Barber does the same, and then another lands for Barber. Lee whiffs on a wild spinning back kick attempt and Barber drills her with an elbow right across the forehead at the buzzer and this one is headed to round number two.

Round Two - Lee lands a side kick to the body to start. Barber comes back with a pair of low kicks before missing a spinning back kick. Barber goes back to the well with another low kick, Lee clinches, but Barber shoves her back. Lee pops the jab, followed by a 1-2, and just misses a right hook to the body. Barber lands a 1-2, Lee lands a straight right, and Barber lands yet another kick to Lee's lead leg. Barber lands a low kick of her own and Barber cracks Lee with a right hand, then another, and Lee lands a perfectly timed takedown because she was hurt bad. Lee doesn't do much from the top and is looking to recover more than anything right here. Barber is active off her back and looks to get back to her feet, Lee stands up, Barber is relentless with the up kicks, and Lee dives back down at the horn and this one is headed to round number three.

Round Three - Barber comes out the aggressor with a 1-2. Barber just misses a high kick but lands a 1-2 in behind. Lee latches onto Barber and drags Barber down to the mat. Barber gives up her back but scrambles nicely and has herself back on her feet against the fence. Lee isn't ready to give back control up but Barber forces the break. Barber keeps looking for the high kick but Lee is evading nicely for the time being. Barber with the level change this time but Lee holds firm and looks for the trip but Barber circles away from danger. Barber grabs a leg and trips Lee down to the mat and secures the takedown. Lee gets right back up, Barber stays clinched, and Lee trips Barber down before Barber leaps right back to the feet. Lee clinches with just under a minute to go and she trips Barber back down to the mat with a big takedown. Lee rides out the remaining seconds on top until the horn sounds to send this one to the judge's scorecards.
