The thick heavy-hitters engaged in the sort of striking affair that some fans watched from between their fingers. The fight came to an emphatic end when Buckley severed his opponent's head with a jumping, spinning back-kick knock out. The set-up for the finish was an equally impressive part of the sequence. Kasanganay had caught Buckey's leg and so the latter responded by spinning and leaping with his free foot, crunching it against Kasanganay's jaw.

The official end came at 2:03 of round two. Buckley improved his UFC record to 1-1 after losing via third-round KO to Kevin Holland in his UFC debut. Buckley is also a Bellator veteran with a 3-2 record in the promotion.
