Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker and former UFC title challenger Marvin Vettori are now expected to compete in a bout on September 3 when the Octagon heads to Paris, France for the first time.
The promotion officially announced the matchup via a tweet, revealing the new date for the fight after the pair were initially slated to clash at UFC 275 on June 11. Whittaker is 3-1 in his last four Octagon outings and is coming off of a unanimous decision loss to current UFC middleweight champ, Israel Adesanya, in their rematch back at UFC 271. Vettori meanwhile is 6-1 in his last seven fights and will try to build on a unanimous decision victory over Paulo Costa at UFC Vegas 41.
